The bee hive frame is a great place to start the year but an additional box and honey super/s will need to be added throughout the year when honey production is in full swing. In the early spring you will probably only have one brood boxes on the hive. As the hive grows another brood box is recommended. Then when nectar flow increases you will add the queen excluder and a honey super to allow honey storage away from the queen and egg laying cells. During the summer add the next couple of honey supers when the colony needs more room for honey storage. If honey space is running out just throw another honey super on the stack.Specification:
